First Day Of Principal Photography
June 17th, 2008Wow. MUCH better than the first day of shooting B-Roll.
Okay, so, we lost the daylight to an incoming storm, which kinda messed up our “magic hour” plans to shoot the door scenes. But no big deal. We took it inside, Charlie Shafter and The Gnomes played, and we had a blast.
We had about 250 people there, about 11 volunteers on the crew, and a wonderful, organized, efficient shoot. For a change :)
My talent nailed their lines, the crew was on point with lighting and power, and my extras tried their hardest not to look into the camera. So things went fairly smoothly.
Sure, we’ll reshoot some stuff when it’s a little more quiet (and perhaps when we get better light for the street preacher/prophet scene. BUT, I’m not complaining.
All is well, and I’m proud of everyone (and thankful) for their help and participation.
